An ever-relevant organization is Håll Sverige Rent (Keep Sweden Tidy), perhaps especially so in the summer when littering increases as people spend more time outdoors and visitors to beaches and rest stops surge.
We had a chat with Jane Falkenstrand, project administrator at Håll Sverige Rent, about how she uses Event Logic in her work with meeting, conference, and event bookings, and she also shared some insights about the organization's mission.
Who is Håll Sverige Rent and what does the organization do?
The organization works to combat littering in seas and on land in many different ways. This includes raising awareness about the problem, organizing litter-picking days, and influencing behavior in the long term through initiatives in preschools and schools, teaching children not to throw litter in nature. On September 19, 2020, the annual Keep Sweden Tidy Day takes place, when everyone is encouraged to join in and pick up litter.
The contact with Event Logic came almost by chance. While visiting a trade fair, looking for an accounting system, she spotted the Event Logic booth and thought that "this could save the organization a lot of time" when managing meetings and conferences.
How does Event Logic fit into the work?
Jane explains that the participant management has helped her save a lot of time. "It could take several hours to coordinate things like allergies and dietary preferences, or when participants drop out and no longer need to be included in the bus transport," she says.
Now they gather all participant details and share them with the supplier via the Event Logic platform, with just a few clicks. All changes are then automatically updated directly with the supplier when participants make modifications.
What is the biggest advantage of using Event Logic?
Jane appreciates the ease of receiving different quotes and being able to compare suppliers against each other. The simplicity of putting suppliers in competition was an eye-opening experience for her.
The Håll Sverige Rent Conference
One of the biggest events of the year for Håll Sverige Rent is the conference held on December 3-4, where they bring together Sweden's most important stakeholders in the littering issue.
It is in connection with external conferences that Jane sees major advantages with Event Logic, since each participant has access to an overview of the agenda as well as the details and preferences they have registered. "If a participant needs to change something, they simply go in and do it themselves," says Jane, who therefore does not need to double-check all details for each participant, saving significant amounts of time.
