Best Recipe for Your Christmas Table
Event Logic
December is here and Christmas tables await. Time for crafts and holiday preparations, so here comes a wonderful tip for your kitchen!

My Delicious Mustard
- 1 part sugar
- 1 part Colman's mustard powder
- Whipping cream
(I usually use 1.5 dl powder + 1.5 dl sugar for a reasonable batch)
How to Make It
This is not only the best recipe for your Christmas table, it's also quick to make. Put the mustard powder and sugar in a saucepan (without heat). Pour in a little cream gradually while stirring with a hand whisk. Stir until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and not lumpy. Think of a consistency like a thick bearnaise sauce, so a fairly thick but smooth consistency.
When you are happy with the consistency, place the saucepan on the stove and heat gently, not too quickly. The mustard should not boil but should begin to bubble slightly before being removed from the stove. Stir gently from time to time and make sure it doesn't burn.
The Little Extra
If you want, before heating the mustard, you can add a dollop of a mustard you like. For an extra twist, I usually pour in a splash of whiskey just before the mustard has come to a boil (just use a small splash as the flavor comes through quite strongly).
Your Own Design
Choose your design for the jar (like a glass jar or ceramic container). Pour in the mustard and let it cool. The mustard will become thicker and stiffer and should be stored in the fridge with a lid. A tip is to cut up a kitchen towel and place the fabric on the lid, tie a hemp string around it and attach a Christmas tag, and voila, you have a completely homemade Christmas gift or hostess present :)
GOOD LUCK!
